Steve talks about his newest album:

home tonight

AVAILABLE NOW

Home Tonight is the latest CD, which came out in November 2005. It’s another collaboration with Roy Salmond [Voices in the Desert and Lead me to the Light] and it's been a joy to go back to him and pick up that West Coast feel in Vancouver! Roy and I have mixed it up a bit in this album... there’s a touch of gospel in some of the early tracks courtesy of Glenda Orton , Brett Wade and the choir.

There are also some congregational worship songs: Two psalms of Ascent have been set to music [121 and 122] as part of a long term project to put all 15 to music.

There’s some Christmas stuff there too. Watch out for Baby Jesus and the extraordinary Christmas Alleluia.

But the theme of the album comes in the title track Home Tonight. This is the first love song I’ve written, but it picks up a theme of travel and a theme looking for our eternal home.

You’ll notice the cover design. It's of a sculpture by David Robinson, a long time friend and actually singing partner out in Vancouver. We did a trip to the further reaches of BC once and have stories to tell of that!

His work as a sculptor has progressed more than his guitar playing, and David now has an international reputation. It’s worth visiting his website.
